Quick tutorial on changing the points plunger and bushing on Horizontal Cast Iron Briggs and Stratton Engines. Symptoms will be oil in the points cover area, resulting in fouled points.

Been in the family since new. My first motorcycle. I’ve put a lot of miles on this bike as a kid. My dad use to use it at OC Racetrack when he raced a drag truck, so he could get around the track. Before I was born. Then, it was passed down to me when I was old enough to walk. It started purple with a gold flake front fender. I restored it twice as a kid. First time I painted it turquoise. Second time painted it black and white and upgraded to a 4 hp B & S motor. Now I’m doing au turn and restoring it back to bone stock original. Keeping all original parts as possible. Obviously tubes, tires, chain, paint, seat foam and cover is a must. Also putting an original 1974 B & S 3 hp motor back in it. Stay tuned …… This baby is gonna be sweet !!
